Wanted: Her Name and Story. She was probably from the Joyce Family or Flavin Family of Attleboro, Massachusetts. Educated Guess: Year: 1916 but google shows that W. E. Potter, Photographic Artist, 171 Westminster Street, Providence Rhode Island was in operation in the 1880s.
I picked the year 1916 because it was the only number on the back which could have been a date:
There are a bunch of different numbers and I'm guessing they are account numbers and frame numbers but the one toward the top right appears to be "1916" which could be a date.
My Grandmother Grace Flavin Cunningham was from Attleboro, Massachusetts which is near Providence, Rhode Island. I found this photo in my mother's things so this lady is either from the Cunningham (my grandfather) or Flavin (my grandmother) side. I don't think it is the Cunningham side since they lived in New Bedford and could have had their photo taken there or in Boston much more easily. So I think this is one of my Grandma Grace Flavin's people, plus the lady in the photo looks Irish, or at least I guess she does. So now the question is who is she - is she related to Charles Leo Flavin (my great-grandfather) or to Ellen Louise Joyce Flavin (my great-grandmother), they were both from Attleboro, Massachusetts with both families originally being from Ireland. Both the Joyce and Flavin families had family units with lots of children, so it is possible that this lady is an extended relative but more likely it is maybe my great grandmother Ellen Louise Joyce Flavin when she was younger. We'll see.
