Want to Improve Your Scrapbooking? I did. Find out how I learned to incorporate more embellishments onto my scrapbooking pages.
I took Debbie Hodge's Scrapbooking Critique Workshop a few months ago. I'm a bit funny when I take a class like this - by funny I guess I mean weird. For example, years ago I took a writing class and then stopped writing altogether. Last year I did the Bikram Yoga 30 day challenge and haven't (head hung in shame) been back since. So I was a little concerned when I signed up for the class - I was worried that it would make me stop scrapbooking (because of my own personal weirdness). During all three of these classes, I enjoyed myself; but afterwards I go through a period of not wanting to do the activity at all. Writing withdrawal lasted for years; bikram yoga has been almost a year; thankfully, I only went through a month and a half of not wanting to scrapbook after my class. (Again - this is my own personal weirdness! - NOT any of the classes.). I think I need time for whatever I learned to set in and I need a break from whatever the activity is. The bonus? When I come back to it I have connected dots that I didn't know I was connecting during my downtime.
The dots I've been connecting after my Critique Workshop at Masterful Scrapbook Design / Get It Scrapped? More Embellishments! My teachers were Doris Sanders and Celeste Smith so it was a good mix of embellishment heavy and light, highly decorated / simple scrapbooker. The class was absolutely delightful and I looked forward to it every week. It was always positive and fun balanced with useful constructive ideas to improve your layouts.
