So the story is that I did my hair in rollers before doing the Paperclipping Roundtable Podcast yesterday - no the podcast is not video taped; yes, somehow as an adult who was a teenager in the 1980s, I still had the urgent need to hot roller my hair. I just couldn't not make my hair big, its just what I do when I think something is important!
I wrote "Even now, in 2013: The bigger the event = the Bigger the Hair. Teen of the 1980s" The tag is from Amy Tangerine for American Crafts.
Journaling: "Even Now, like yesterday - I was on the Paperclipping Roundtable - a podcast (or radio show if you don't know what a podcast is!) and I had to pull out the hot rollers! ... These photos were taken at pageants in 1986 when I won the Speech Competition that won me the scholarship to Eckerd College that brought me to St. Petersburg where I met Daddy / Charlie" - Katie 3/6/2013.
So yes, I have BIG Hair to thank for my where I am and who I'm with now! Yay for big hair!
I did get out my paint and glitter last night and painted just about all the raw chip board I have! It was fun - I really need to get the paints and glittery stuff out way more often!
You just know I wanted to use the rhinestones and not the pearls right? Well, I would have except that I listened to Shimelle / Glitter Girl's gal pal Miss Smith's New UK Scrapbooking Podcast: Curiouser and Curiouser and she made it quite clear that when given the choice, you should always choose the pearls! So I went with it - (don't worry - there will be lots of opportunities for those lovely rhinestones which I also happen to love!).
