Hi Scrapbookers: Welcome to Layout #13 of my Stash Scrapping September - a blog series in which I finish half-baked layouts. This is another layout that is actually brand new (see my post on Rebel Scrapbooking for more on breaking my own rules). See, the scrapbook manaufacturer Bella Blvd. had a design team call and I love their products; so the application required that the layouts be made only from Bella Blvd. products so I started gathering it all up and I intended to make some layouts. But with back to school, the design team call deadline came and went and I didn't submit anything; but I still had all that Bella Blvd. product in one palce. So I made a page full of Bella Blvd. goodness and here it is:
The Take Away? If you've gathered some supplies together and intended to use them on a project that you are no longer going to complete, make something with the grouping of supplies anyway. Lots of scrapbookers make kits for the supropose of limiting their choices - and I read one post on Two Peas in a Bucket by a scrapbooker who was planning to create 100 page kits - and I remember leaving her a comment advising her to actually make some pages too . I've been caught in that same trap of " oh I'll reorganize my scrap supplies and become super productive" - don't go too far down that road without actually making some pages.
Scrap On Sisters, thank you for stopping by and please leave a comment, I would love to know if you create kits for yourself or if you subscribe to kit clubs and if you do, how do you feel that it helps / hinders your productivity?
