Hey Scrapbookers and Welcome Back to Stash Scrapping September:
This month I committed myself to finish all those layouts that I started but didn't finish. Many of my started layouts are what I call "Half-Baked" meaning I've placed background papers and photos. Some of my started pages fall more into the category of "Shimelle's Starting Points" and this one is just that - although I made it so long ago I can't actually remember if it was a starting point or not - anyone know?
So this page was made so long ago that I seriously think it is ugly now. And the horizontal brown paper isn't even straight! Like, I don't like this started page at all. But I didn't let that stop me. I forced myself to get it finished because of this blog series. So first thing I did was to cover up as much of the "ugly" paper as I could with photos and I had some first day of school photos handy.
So I'm quite happy with the result because I covered up most of the ugly on my starting point - and I even like that "ugly" paper now in this context. The transparencies are from the new Allison Kreft line as is the little camera charm - which I am completely in love with. So I took an old ugly starting point and turned it into a layout I actually sort of love.
Thank you for stopping by and please leave a comment, I'd love to know if you use Shimelle's Starting Points or if you use sketches or some other type of way to get the scrapbook page started.
